Spay/neuter services for feral, stray or low income cats:
Spay surgery for feral or tame cats $50
Neuter surgery for feral or tame cats $30
FVRCP vaccine (avail. on surgery day only) $10
Rabies vaccine (avail. on surgery day only) $16
FIV/Felk test (avail. on surgery day only) $20
AVID microchip (avail. on surgery day only) $20
We do accept Lane County vouchers for spay/neuter to offset the cost of surgery. Low income households can apply online here. The vouchers are only good towards spay and neuter, not towards vaccines or other services!
Appointments must be made in advance, and are available every Friday. On holiday weeks the schedule may change, and changes will be posted in advance on the website and on the phone recording.
Transportation is provided within Oakridge/Westfir, Lowell, Pleasant Hill, Dexter and Springfield.
Funding may be available to offset the cost of spay and neuter services. We operate on a co-pay system for cats that qualify, when funds are available.
Vaccines, testing and microchips will not be funded by Feline Assistance Network.
It is our policy that all feral cats will be eartipped for identification purposes.
Other services:
FAN is not a cat removal service.
FAN does not trap ferals for relocation, unless being relocated to an approved relocation area, and will only help relocate altered cats.
FAN does not trap ferals for euthanasia, unless it is deemed humanely necessary to prevent suffering or death.
FAN cannot take your companion cat and find it a home. If you have a pet, please be responsible and find it a home, or make arrangements with a shelter in advance.
FAN can only take in limited numbers of stray cats needing assistance, since we are not specifically an adoption agency and have a very limited venue for adoptions. The cats or kittens that we do bring in are animals that are in emergency or life threatening situations, abandoned, stray, and from the Oakridge, Westfir area only!!
We must limit our incoming cats to those specific guidelines, in order to make a true impact in a specific target area of need. Also, to limit our incoming cats to a manageable number.
Each cat/kitten that we take in, costs us an average of $75 to ready for adoption, if you wish to sponsor a cat/kitten for the upcoming kitten season, please contact us via email.
